Polish Congress Ambassadors Gala 2016

The Gala of the Polish Congress Ambassadors will be held in £ód¼ on September, 22. Among 20 laureates selected by the council of the Polish Congress Ambassadors Programme there are 7 representaives of Warsaw scientific community. Certificates of recognition will be presented during the ceremonious gala.


Sport once again connected science and administration in Warsaw

24th European Association for Sport Management Conference (EASM) 2016 is an another example of how sport can be a common ground for an exceptional link between science, administration and business.


The (type)face of Warsaw

Between September 13th and 18th, Warsaw is hosting the ATypI conference. The name of the 2016 meeting in Warsaw is „Convergence”, which stands for conducting multidisciplinary research. The Association Typographique Internationale (AtypI) together with students of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology have developed a framework of the conference and invited to cooperation The Poster Museum, the National Audiovisual Institute, the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, The Neon Museum and the Museum of Warsaw. Visiting these places will be not only a unique chance for the participants to share their knowledge, experience and skills but also to know Warsaw better. Warsaw Convention Bureau is tle local partner of AtypI 2016 Conference.


ICCA CEC Moscow: a valuable exchange of experience

ICCA Central European Chapter Meeting held in Moscow between 18th – 20th August 2016 brought together over 60 ICCA members from Cetral Europe. It was a great networking opportunity to meet and exchange views, knowledge with local business and state representatives as well as locally based clients of the ICCA members.


Local MICE market data

Warsaw CvB has an access to the data featuring the volume and characteristics of the local MICE market – available for WTO members and entities surveying the meetings industry. Thanks to the research carried out by Z-Factor (Demand Outlook) we have information about 9,500 meetings which have already been held in Warsaw in 2016.


Warsaw supports pharmaceutical and medical innovations

It’s the second consecutive year the Warsaw Convention Bureau is a local partner of the Prix Galien Polska. Prix Galien is a world-class competition with 46-year history, which promotes innovative development in pharmacy and medicine. The international contest has 17 local editions conducted annualy.


Meeting with French-Polish Chamber of Commerce

Thanks to the initiative and support of Jacek Karczewski, member of the Board of the France-Poland Association, Warsaw CvB as a partner of the meeting with French-Polish Chamber of Commerce had opportunity to present the capital as a leading congress destination in the CEE region. The meeting brought together 60 representatives of the Chamber. Many thanks to the Warsaw Chopin Airport for hosting us in its modern high quality room.

Warsaw Convention Bureau inititated and established a cooperation of these three sectors, which led to the creation of a joint, modern and highly competetive offer of the destination. Sport also unites Warsaw citizens and keeps them fit and healthy. That is why Warsaw promotes itself through sport.


Warsaw among the candidates to host the Regional Congress of the International Society of Blood Trasfusion

Thanks to the efforts of the EXPO XXI Warszawa, supported by the Warsaw Convention Bureau, Warsaw is shortlisted for the organization of Regional Congress of the Internationa Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT) in 2019. Presentation of selected destinations and announcement of results will take place on the 3rd of September 2016 at this year’s international congress in Dubai.



A very favorable article about Warsaw has been published in the latest issue of the Headquarters Global magazine. Supported by the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) and the Union of International Associations (UIA), Headquarters Magazines serve the needs of international associations organizing worldwide congresses.


German meeting planners visited Warsaw

Between June 23rd and 25th, 2016, Travel Projekt DMC, in cooperation with Lufthansa, Hilton Worldwide, Poland Convention Bureau, ZOPOT Berlin and Warsaw Convention Bureau, executed a fam trip for 10 meeting planners from Germany. The goal was to present the business and leisure opportunities Warsaw provides. Among others, the group has visited the Palace of Culture and Science, £azienki Museum and hotels in Warsaw. They have also done some biking, a cruise and a trip with Adventure Warsaw Nysa cars.
