Warsaw at IMEX Frankfurt 2016

April 18th-20th saw the Warsaw Convention Bureau team exhibit at the IMEX Frankfurt 2016 show. We have been a part of the Poland National Stand along with 10 other exhibitors from our country. We have executed 27 business meetings, this year’s edition was significant in that we met more clients with ready RFPs than the ones only with a general interest in Warsaw.

TRA 2016 conference brought together over 2400 participants. Warsaw praised for its charm, tidiness and excellent public transport

Last week (April, 18th – 21th) Warsaw Convention Bureau took part in Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2016 international conference. Warsaw CvB, as a local partner helped to involve authorities to support the event, secured a complimentary public transport tickets for the conference attendees, provided packages of materials for the event participants (brochures, maps, gadgets etc.), enabled promotion of the event on public transport and shared a stand with tourism information for the whole duration of the conference.


Warsaw applying for European College of Sport Science Congress

With the support of Warsaw Convention Bureau, Warsaw has filed in an offer to organise the European College of Sport Science congress. It is the largest congress on sport in Europe and second largest in the World. ECSS attracts over 2 500 professionals dealing with various aspects of physical activity to the host country. Warsaw is applying to be the host of ECSS in 2020 or 2021.


Uniting efforts and resources to offer more to clients!

Warsaw Convention Bureau initiated a series of meetings where sales directors of local 4*-5* hotels, MICE venues and PCOs/DMCs are going to discuss on regular basis different ways of supporting bids that Warsaw CvB is currently working on.


Warsaw will be officially applying for Rotary International Convention, for 30 000 delegates!

Mark Krawczynski, Rotary Polska representative, chairman of the committee of Rotary International Convention Seoul 2016 and vice-chairman of the polish committee of the international service, announced during the Poland Meetings Destination conference (14th March 2016), that Warsaw will be officially applying for Rotary International Convention 2023/2024/2025. We could be expecting 30 000 delegates for a week-long series of events (the average duration of stay is approx. 10 days). This year’s Internation Rotary Convention in Seoul has already registered more than 40 000 participants. Warsaw Convention Bureau with participation of The Warsaw Voice has been cooperating with Mark Krawczyński and Rotary Polska since December, 2015.
